Basketball player.
Kid2Saucy.
When an ACL injury took him off the court, music gave him somewhere to put that energy. Before the Lights brings those worlds together: the recordings, the comeback, and everything before the season.

THE CAREER
From the first releases to Before the Lights.
Kid2Saucy has been putting music out since at least 2023, building a catalog from Evansville while balancing basketball. The early singles, Gotham, and “Fake Lean” laid the foundation. An ACL injury later gave him more time to focus on recording. Now, Before the Lights brings the older records and new sessions into one project.
“Up One Time,” featuring JohnsonPack, marks an early chapter of the Kid2Saucy catalog.
Gotham expanded the catalog. “Fake Lean” brought a noticeable jump in attention, pushing his Spotify audience past 700 monthly listeners.
“Trap Hard,” featuring Smakinbuckets, added another collaboration to the run. After the ACL injury, music became a bigger focus during time away from the court.
“Arrested,” “Ytboyswag,” and “Track Hawk” lead into the next project. He moved distribution from Amuse to UnitedMasters and brought Gotham over with him. By August, he reported more than 13,000 plays across his catalog.
THE INSPIRATIONS
Kid Cudi and Kanye West are central influences, especially the atmosphere and album identity of Graduation. Chief Keef and Soulja Boy bring the energy, from futuristic beats to raw confidence. Drake rounds out the list of inspirations.
